Whistler offers an eclectic mix of international cuisines with a huge number of world class restaurants. The variety and incredible standard of food available is astounding and certainly offers you a culinary journey to compliment your ski holiday. Whistler’s dining options include quaint little French patisseries, gorgeous bakeries offering freshly made gourmet sandwiches, atmospheric family restaurants, incredible Teppanyaki and Sushi restaurants, Mexican restaurants with live music, Italian restaurants themed to make you believe you are dining in Tuscany and of course exquisite fine dining restaurants, boasting some of the most sought after restaurateurs in British Columbia.

Whistler on-mountain dining is also an amazing experience with many restaurants spread over Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. These restaurants range from main eateries with log vaulted roofs and electric glove driers through to quaint little European cottages at the top of the mountain serving homemade waffles. With the Peak to Peak Gondola you can decide, while standing at the top of Whistler Mountain to ski the 11 kilometres down to Creekside and then catch a gondola, the Peak to Peak and a high Speed Quad Chair, to be over at Horstman Hut, a gorgeous little log cabin located at the top of Seventh Heaven on Blackcomb Mountain, for arguably the best French onion soup in the world. What an adventure!

The fantastic thing about Whistler is that for the non-skiers, some of the on mountain dining options are completely accessible enabling non-skiers to ride the Whistler Gondola taking in the atmosphere and then catch the incredible Peak to Peak Gondola over to Blackcomb Mountain.

The Après here in Whistler are amazing. Music can be heard as you ski down to the village at the end of the day. Being a pedestrian only village, there are bars and cafes all around the base of the mountain, offering people a huge variety of locations. These range from an outdoor setting with a lively atmosphere that is family friendly and where children can play safely in the snow while parents relax, right through to a vibrant bar for friends to meet and relive their days’ adventures.

If the idea of sitting at the base of the mountain in an outdoor setting under an umbrella that is covering you from the gorgeous snow, warmed by the fire, sipping your favourite drink, listening to music and watching the skiers come down at the end of the day appeals to you, then Whistler is definitely for you!
